Bio / Accomplishments:
My name is Megan Hallman and I am an alumnus of the Winslow Township Soccer Association. I started playing soccer when I was five years old.  I played in the Micro and Mini novice programs until I was ten, when I had joined the travel program. WTYSA opened the door, which allowed me to advance my skills to be a four year varsity starter, and to play two years in college at Wesley College and The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. WTYSA was the home where I had developed my love and passion for the game.

I did not know how much passion I had for the game, until I started volunteering to coach for TOTS, Micro and Mini novice leagues. Thanks to my Dad and Mom, who were the head coaches, they helped me to begin coaching as a freshman in high school. They helped me to find my real passion for the game—inspiring kids to dream and to help them achieve their goals.

These days, I teach Math, and I am the head Varsity soccer coach at Cedar Creek High School in Egg Harbor City. Now every day, I am able to inspire, challenge, and watch my girls succeed. …And what success we have had!! In the fall of 2010, our high school opened with freshman and sophomore classes. This was the first year that we had a junior varsity girl’s soccer program.  As a JV team, we were undefeated.  Fall of 2011 was our first year as a Varsity program, we finished with a winning record, and “we put Cedar Creek on the map for teams to watch in South Jersey.” In our first year playing Varsity, we made it to the playoffs advancing to the second round. The girls learned valuable lessons that dedication and commitment to every practice and every game can translate to success, and to set goals to win a state championship.  Being a coach is more than just wins and losses, I enjoy making and maintaining positive relationships with my players. I enjoy challenging them, building up their spirits, and watching them succeed through hard work and determination. Being a coach is my greatest achievement that started by playing soccer through the WTYSA!
